Logan Baughn, LISW, MSW

Hi! My name is Logan, and welcome to Mind Trek Counseling! I would love to help provide you with the support you need to grow through life’s challenges. I am a mental health professional with a focus on providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals 18 years and older. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach identifying the link between emotion, thought, and behavior and how to harness this link to help you achieve your goals. I specialize in helping adults with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

I am so happy that you are here! Mental health symptoms can make us feel like we are alone or unworthy of care, and those thoughts are definitely not facts. I am ready to meet you wherever you are in in your mental health journey and work with you to reach your goals! Thank you for taking this step for yourself and thank you for your consideration.

A bit more about me,

I received my master’s in social work from The University of Akron and have worked in a variety of environments, including addiction treatment, long term care, and community mental health. I’m a licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), and I am a trained and certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) specialist.

What working with me looks like:

As your therapist I can help you channel the strengths you already have and use new skills to build hopefulness, enhance self-compassion and confidence in your ability to cope with life’s challenges as they arise. I use a mix of therapy approaches to suit your unique needs, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy-informed care, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. I am passionate about providing an accepting environment where you can feel safe and comfortable just as you are. I believe that acceptance is the key to making true and lasting change and would be honored to be part of your therapeutic journey.

My top three specialties are Depression, Anxiety, Trauma & PTSD.

  • Depression

We’ll look at how negative thought patterns can influence your mood and behaviors and work together to reframe these thoughts in a way that feels more balanced and hopeful. We’ll identify your personal strengths—even ones you may not recognize right now—and use them as tools to help you move forward. You’ll learn practical skills, like emotion regulation and distress tolerance, to help you manage the heavy moments and build more day-to-day stability. Our sessions will be a supportive, judgment-free space where you can explore what matters most to you and set meaningful goals at your pace.

  • Anxiety

We’ll examine anxious thoughts and learn to challenge and replace them with more grounded, helpful ways of thinking. You already have coping strategies that have worked in the past—we’ll build on these and help you feel more empowered in managing anxiety. We’ll work on mindfulness practices and distress tolerance skills so you can stay grounded when anxiety feels overwhelming. You’re the expert on your experience. Together, we’ll identify your triggers and create coping strategies that make sense for your life.

  • PTSD

We’ll work to gently process trauma-related thoughts and memories, helping you reframe painful beliefs and regain a sense of safety.  Healing takes courage. We’ll focus on the resilience you’ve already shown, using it as a foundation for your recovery. We’ll use skills to manage intense emotions and reduce reactivity, helping you stay present when trauma symptoms arise. You’ll set the pace. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can share and process when you’re ready.
