Hi, welcome to Mind Trek Counseling! My name is Jean, and I'm very glad you are here to seek therapy. Each person is born to be someone – themself. Over time this sense of self is molded by our lived experiences, relationships, and interactions. Sometimes we are molded to fit into a role or to fulfill someone else’s needs. It is this sense of losing ourselves that can lead to the challenges of anxiety, depression, emotional distress, and numerous other mental health concerns. As a result, I believe counseling is an essential part of life – a journey to finding your authentic self.
My Background
I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in private practice settings for more than five years with men and women to address conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, and substance use issues.
How can I help?
I will engage with you in an empathetic and non-judgmental setting on your journey of self-discovery and healing. I will support, encourage, and challenge you to identify, work towards and achieve the growth you seek. Through the exploration of values, needs, motivations and barriers, together we can identify the person you were born to be - your true self.

My top three specialties are Anxiety & Depression, ADHD, and Trauma
Finding Peace from Anxiety & Depression
When anxiety feels like a constant hum or depression like a heavy weight, it can color everything. In our work together, we’ll gently explore the patterns—the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—that are keeping you stuck. My focus is on helping you cultivate a kinder inner dialogue and develop practical, actionable skills to navigate life's ups and downs with greater ease. Using approaches like CBT and mindfulness, I’ll act as your guide in reclaiming a sense of hope and building a life that feels vibrant and meaningful to you.
Thriving with ADHD: Strategy & Self-Compassion
ADHD is more than just difficulty focusing; it's a different way of experiencing the world that can make everyday systems and demands feel mismatched and exhausting. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, meaning we work with your unique brain, not against it. We’ll collaborate to design personalized strategies for managing time, tasks, and emotional overwhelm, transforming frustration into effective action. Think of me as your strategic coach, helping you build the structures and self-compassion needed to reduce chaos, leverage your strengths, and follow through on what matters most to you.
Gentle, Skilled Support for Trauma Healing
Healing from trauma is a journey of returning to yourself. It requires a safe, predictable space where you can process painful memories without becoming overwhelmed by them. As a trauma specialist, I prioritize your emotional safety above all else. We will always move at a pace that feels manageable for you, first strengthening your innate resilience and coping capacities. My role is to provide a steady, knowledgeable presence as we carefully work to lessen the hold of the past, helping you reclaim a sense of safety in the present and reconnect with your strength.
